To kick off the holiday season, CMI invited guests to “find the missing piece” at two product showcase events in Omaha and Lincoln. In conjunction with the event CMI revealed its new updated website, as well as a its partnership with the U.S. Green Building Council and the Energy Star program to help make current and new buildings more energy efficient.
Representatives from Alerton, Honeywell, and Tridium/Vykon set up tradeshow booths to educate customers about current and future offerings from their providers. Jim Muegge, CMI president, welcomed the groups and gave a brief speech on the background of CMI and the company’s plans for the future.
Two featured speakers spoke to the group. Ed Merwin of Tridium, presented on Intelligent Design, Systems, & Operation make the Intelligent Building an Intelligent Investment. Merwin has over 33 years of experience in the controls industry and is currently the Director of Vykon Automation, Energy, and Security and manages Tridium’s Vykon Systems Integration Channel.
Roger Ostmeyer of Larson Binkley spoke to the group regarding Affordable Green. Ostmeyer is currently the Manager of Conceptual Design for Larson Binkley in Kansas City. Larson Binkley has emerged as a leader in the design and installation of “green” systems and they enjoy working with companies who share that philosophy.
